POSITION
Kings Partnership (KPFP) – Program Coordinator. KPFP, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in project management, community engagement, and outreach skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in social needs and prevention issues. The Program Coordinator will play a vital role in advancing countywide prevention programs. ORGANIZATION
Kings Partnership (KPFP) is a non-profit organization that works to create an environment of wellness throughout the Kings County community through community outreach and prevention education. KPFP community initiatives include the Mental Health Taskforce, the Substance Use Response Group (SURG), the Financial Stability Taskforce, the Healthy Eating/ Active Living Workgroup (HEAL), the Kings Coalition for Wellness & Awareness (KCWA), and the Youth Engagement Workgroup. Kings Partnership is also involved with prevention programs, including the Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council (CAPCC), the Rise Above Youth Empowerment Program, and the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI). KPFP does not provide direct services but instead connects individuals and families to resources in the area to build a vibrant community where future generations flourish.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Program Coordinator with Kings Partnership, you will be essential in developing and overseeing the organization’s Trauma-Informed Communities programs, encompassing KPFP’s Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council (CAPCC) efforts and the Kings Coalition for Wellness Awareness (KCWA) initiative. This position will play a pivotal role in addressing and promoting education on issues such as child abuse, domestic violence prevention, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and trauma-informed practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Management & Oversight
-
Develop and implement strategies to achieve program objectives in alignment with organizational goals and grant requirements.

Ensure timely progress and compliance with grant and contract obligations, including reporting requirements.

Monitor and manage program budgets and identify resource gaps.
-
Coordinate and oversee all aspects of program activities, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

Provide supervision and management for lower-level staff recruited for the program.
Community Engagement & Communications
-
Serve as the primary point of contact for Trauma-Informed Communities programs, fostering collaboration among organization partners and community members.

Promote prevention program objectives to relevant stakeholders.
-
Collaborate with stakeholders, including state agencies, community-based organizations, schools, and healthcare providers, to enhance program effectiveness and sustainability.
Data Management and Reporting
-
Establish systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to measure program outcomes and impact.

Prepare regular reports, presentations, and communications to stakeholders, funders, and partners on program progress, achievements, and challenges.
Outreach and Partnership Development

Attend conferences and community events to promote the organization’s prevention programs.

Outreach to agencies, organizations, and businesses to conduct presentations to expand awareness of the organization’s programs and increase partnership opportunities.

Attend networking events to increase professional network, refine relationship management skills, and increase organization outreach and capacity.
Additional responsibilities:

Attend all necessary meetings.

Undertake special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Associate degree or 50+ credits in social work, public health, community development, psychology, or a related field

Preferred but not required: 1-2 years of experience in program management, community outreach, or related fields.

Familiarity with topics such as child abuse prevention, domestic violence, ACEs, and trauma-informed practices.

Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in all program planning and implementation aspects.

Project management skills, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build partnerships.

Experience working with children, youth, families, and/or communities from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
-
Ability to work independently and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.

Ability to attend functions/activities outside normal business hours.
-
Creative mindset with the ability to suggest improvements.

Computer savvy with proficiency in Zoom, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe Acrobat.

Preferred but not required: Fluent in both Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
COMPENSATION
KPFP Program Coordinator is a part-time position with a competitive hourly salary. The candidate must be available to work some weekends.
Hourly: $27.50 - $29.09
Annual Salary: $28,600.00 - $30,253.60

Mentors are active, fun-loving adult volunteers who enjoy spending time with children.After being carefully screened, trained, and approved into our program, mentors are matched one-to-one with a child or teen that shares common interests and personality traits. Once matched, mentors are responsible for building a positive relationship with their mentee by sharing fun, low-cost activities on a regular basis.Each mentor makes a one-year commitment and is expected to meet with their mentee for approximately 4-6 hours per month.
