MISSION

Kings County youth are using alcohol, marijuana and other illegal drugs at a higher frequency than the state average.

SURG is committed to reducing the powerful effects of substance use disorders on individuals and their families in Kings County through a focus on early educational events, partnership opportunities, and policy advancement.

Compared to CA Counties, Kings has a value of 36.5% which is in the 2nd worst quartile of counties. Counties in the best 50% have a value lower than 30.5% while counties in the worst 25% have a value higher than 36.6%.
