Buckle Up For Itzy

Buckle Up For Itzy (a project of Capacity Builder, Inc) was established in July, 2012 in memory of Itzayana "Itzy" Chaidez, who died tragically on September 2, 2011 in a car accident as a result of not wearing her seat belt. B.U.F.I. is a non-profit organization that seeks to raise seat belt safety awareness by holding safety fairs, speaking/presenting at high schools, and making an impact in the lives of those who hear our message. The Buckle Up For Itzy Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors in Kings County who wish to pursue a career in the medical field.
