The Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council (CAPCC) serves as Kings County’s multidisciplinary authority on the detection, prevention, and treatment of child abuse and neglect. Functioning as both the County’s Child Abuse Council and the Family Preservation Support Board, CAPCC provides oversight of specialized funding streams that support intensive family preservation services and community-based prevention programming. Kings Partnership supports this vital work by providing communication and prevention education for CAPCC. Kings Partnership also actively recruits CAPCC board members from government, nonprofit, health, education, law enforcement, and faith-based sectors to foster a collaborative, cross-sector approach to child abuse prevention.
